Looking down at my beautiful, sweet and perfect little girl in the hospital, I can still remember how just in awe I was of how special she already was to me. That joy soon turned bitter sweet as I felt that dread of how I was going to get rid all the weight I had gained now that I wasn’t preggers anymore. After checking pinterest (a few hundred times) I kept stumbling upon this worksheet that was labeled the 21 day fix EXTREME meal plan. So basically I was mesmerized and obsessed with it so I just couldn’t take my mind of the challenge. So here is how I lost my baby weight…man I was SOO ready for to be back in my body again.

The trick to this system is simple! Portion Control. I never realize how much carbs I eat or wine I drink or tasty treats (chocolate addict here) I would indulge in. With the container system you are made VERY AWARE of how much you need to eat and what you really should be eating each day. So these containers you use mutliple times a day with the number you are allotted after doing a quick test. I followed the 1200-1500 calorie plan.
Thinking of food as FUEL instead of just sticking whatever taste good into your mouth something that I learned is key.
I decided to listen to a few friends and I cut gluten, alcohol (ok I limited it to once a week :P) and sugar to see if that would change anything along with the portion control system. An amazing thing happened with this new consistent behavior. With the container system and the things I cut out, I lost it ALL and fast… like SUPER FAST six months to be exact! Not only that but once I was cleared to go back to the gym I was motivated to be stronger than ever before…and this was only one year after I had my baby. The truth?? It can happen!! It did for me and it can for you too.
Not only that I was super stoked that I did it in such a short amount of time!
Once I was so bought into the 21 day fix program I began looking at their website for more ideas. I found Beach Body on demand and aimed to workout 5 days a week. I had never felt stronger and more energized in my life! These workouts were kicking my butt and I was eating the best food for me to help my body recover! BAM!! Like I said …Game changer!
I cannot lie it hasn’t been easy now that all the weight is off. Especially during the holidays and with all the cold weather it is soo very hard to stick with anything. My biggest challenge with the at home workouts is my kids wanting to do it with me, on top of me …it just doesn’t always work once they are big. I now have been back in the gym doing HIIT classes along with Cardio and lifting weights. Eating is and will always be a challenge for me but now having this system in mind I am so much more aware of what I am eating and how much I am stuffing into my body!
Okay so this is it ladies and gentlemen! This is my turn to encourage you…you GOT THIS!! It’s a new year so even though it’s January 30th were still in the beginning here. Make a plan and stick to it whatever that might be this one just worked best for me!
