Today I was going through my questions for the publication of Southern Motherhood Magazine (SOO EXCITING) and I couldn’t get through half the questions without tearing up. Being a mom is so hard sometimes but still sooo rewarding! It is hard to see the return on your investment a lot of the time but even in the 4 years of motherhood I have watched myself grow so much as a person.
Since these questions were so enticing I decided I needed to share at least a few of these on the blog too! Enjoy and please feel free to chime in on some of your own thoughts to these questions. I would LOVE to hear some of your answers too!! :):)
Motherhood to me is a selfless but rewarding job that I was custom made for. As time moves on I tend to cherish more and more the “long days” and the sleepless nights, and all the moments in between that I have with them. They grow up so fast and before I know it they barely even fit in my arms anymore! Each day I am encouraged that no matter how many tears and tantrums we go through we are growing together and loving each other more and more. I cherish it all…the good, the bad and the ugly. It is worth it!
I have two little ones and their must have item is balls and more balls!! There is soo many activities my son loves to do with balls. He now has my almost 2 year old playing with them too…ALL THE TIME!
Ayden has taught me to let go of my fears and be vulnerable enough to let someone love me. He is generous and kind and so just “people smart” already! Everly is sweet and has taught me to let loose and enjoy being myself in front of others no matter the cost. I just need to be me, haha. She is head strong and also so very smart. She is not even 2 yet but she gets me in so many ways.
It has deepened my relationship with my husband and taught us both more about serving each other well. We struggle at times like everyone else but really try and keep each other a priority during the week. We go out on date nights almost every Sunday night and be sure to schedule at least one vacation a year together…alone!
Those newborn days! Even they were long and slow and I felt like I never slept. It was that one on one time that was so special. Breastfeeding both my babies for about a year each increased our special mother and kid bond early on!
The SLEEP!! There was no sleep at the beginning and all I could think was..”how do people live like this?” LOL. Eventually you do catch up on sleep…THANK GOD!!!! Both my little ones sleep all throughout the night and then some in the morning.
Again I would love to hear how Motherhood has changed you and what your most cherished memories are of Motherhood. Comment below!
